Mayo Concert Orchestra are delighted to be part of Fainne Oir a contemporary music & dance experience that tells an Irish story of tragic loss, enduring love and the triumph of humanity. This production was produced and composed by Kathy Fahey.
After many months of rehearsals which included combining the orchestral music, provided by Mayo Concert Orchestra, with vocals provided by Voxfusion as well as narration and dance, Fainne Oir held its World Premiere in Royal Theatre, Castlebar in front of a sell out audience.
Fainne Oir then moved to America to perform its American Premiere at Symphonic Space, Broadway, New York and Mayo Concert Orchestra were delighted to be a part of this.
Subsequent performances of Fianne Oir have been performed across Ireland and Mayo Concert Orchestra continues to be a part of each event. We are delighted and honoured to have been chosen for participation in this exciting new Irish stage show experience.
